What could a Festival of Death and Dying be?

Death Lab is a day of research, collaboration and exploration. Come and share with us your ideas, concepts, dreams for the 2018 edition of the Sydney Festival of Death and Dying on 22-23 September 2018.

It is a day of meeting, moving, talking and considering how the Festival of Death and Dying may take shape in Sydney later in the year. To this end, anyone who is interested to be part of the forthcoming festival is welcome to take part.

Peter Banki, Ph.D Victoria Spence and other artists and leaders in the death literacy field will be participating.

Location: East Sydney Community Arts Centre, 34 Burton Street, Darlinghurst.

Date and Time: 6th May, 2-8pm

In the first part (2-3:30pm), a movement practitioner will lead an embodied practice (BodyMindCentring, massage, yoga, Bodyweather).

In the second part (4-7pm) there will be space to try out different concepts and ideas that you may be interested to propose as workshops, panels or performances at the festival in September.

While full day participation is preferable, It is possible to come only for the first or the second sessions.

Attendance is $35 ($25 low income) to help us cover the venue hire costs and provide some refreshments.
